At The Perfect Child ABA, our BTs are at the heart of the care and support we provide to families. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment are among the reasons families and team members share wonderful reviews of The Perfect Child ABA. Today, we’re proud to spotlight Lasharna, who shares her journey as a Behavior Technician, what inspires her work, and her passion for helping children reach their potential.

Meet Lasharna

I've been with the company for a year and 4 months. I became a Behavior therapist because I’ve always had a passion for helping others, especially children, discover just how much they are capable of.

What I love most about being a RBT is that no two days are the same! Every client brings their own personality, strengths, and unique way of learning, which keeps me growing right alongside them. The most rewarding moments are the little breakthroughs; hearing a client communicate something for the first time, watching them become more independent, or seeing a skill we’ve worked on finally click. Those moments remind me why I show up each day ready to make a difference.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time on the beach reading or dancing, traveling, going to the gym, and finding ways to continue growing personally and professionally.

A fun fact about me is that I’m currently working toward becoming a BCBA, so ABA has definitely become a huge part of my journey!

My advice to anyone considering becoming a Behavior Technician is to be patient with yourself and ask for help whenever something is unclear. Show compassion, consistency, and a good sense of humor—you’ll need all four!

My motto is simple: “Celebrate the small wins, because small wins lead to big changes.” --- The Perfect Child ABA BT Spotlight Series Simcha Bendet Founder, The Perfect Child ABA
