How long have I've been with The Perfect Child ABA Since May 2026.

A Little About Me & What Inspired Me I’ve always been passionate about mental health and advocating for people who may not have the ability to advocate for themselves. My interest in this field began when I was younger and grew into a desire to better understand autism, behavior, and the different ways we can support others. I’m currently pursuing further education in social work, with the possibility of becoming a behavior analyst in the future.

My Journey I began my career as a Cognitive Behavioral Technician in the Seattle area of Washington. That experience introduced me to ABA and strengthened my desire to continue growing in the field. After returning to Florida, I became a Registered Behavior Technician and continued pursuing my education in mental health and social work.

What I Enjoy Most About Being a RBT I love being able to show up consistently and witness the small wins. Teaching a child a skill they’ve never experienced before and watching those small steps build into independence gives me an incredible sense of purpose. It makes the work feel bigger than just having a job.

Most Rewarding Experience One of the most rewarding experiences has been teaching foundational skills like potty training—from learning to pull pants up and down to tolerating sitting on the toilet. Watching a child go from needing significant support to doing these things independently shows me the impact consistency and patience can have.

What Motivates Me Each Day Knowing that this work isn’t just about me. Our clients, families, technicians, and analysts all rely on one another. We’re part of a support system, and when we show up consistently, we help give these children the opportunity to build more fulfilling and independent lives.

Fun Facts Outside of work, I’m a true Florida girl. I love fishing, kayaking, springs, state parks, and museums. I especially love exploring places where I can connect with nature and history.

Words of Wisdom If you’re someone who finds purpose in helping others, being a BT can be incredibly rewarding. You may not always feel motivated to show up for yourself, but knowing that someone else is counting on you can give your work a deeper sense of purpose.
