As we celebrate Autism Acceptance Month, we are incredibly proud to highlight the dedicated BCBAs who make a meaningful difference every day. At The Perfect Child ABA, the wonderful feedback we receive from families is a direct result of the hard work, expertise, and passion of our BCBAs and Technicians. Today, we are thrilled to spotlight one of our exceptional BCBAs, Deidra. Join us in celebrating her outstanding contributions and the positive impact she brings to the children and families we serve!

--- Meet Deidra, Clinical Lead, 4.5 Years

My journey into the field started after earning my undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology. What began as an unexpected path quickly turned into a true passion.

I became a BCBA and have been with The Perfect Child since August 2021 and currently serve as a Clinical Lead, where I enjoy supporting both clients, families, and other BCBAs.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, homes, community environments, and telehealth. I truly love the diversity each setting brings—every environment offers unique opportunities to support clients and collaborate with families and teams. This variety keeps my work exciting and continually inspires me to grow as a clinician.

I am proud to be a supervisor for our company’s 40-hour RBT training program. It is truly a pleasure to play a role in growing the field of ABA, not only across Mississippi but throughout the country. I’m grateful to be part of developing the next generation of professionals who will make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

When I’m not working as a BCBA, you can usually find me staying active and enjoying quality time with my family! I love getting outside with my husband, our two young daughters, and our dog—whether it’s going for walks, exploring new parks, or just soaking up the fresh air together.

Staying active helps me recharge and bring my best self to both my family and the clients I serve. I’m grateful for these moments that keep me grounded, energized, and connected to what matters most.
